    Song of the Week: “Microwave On” by Branes

    In the past I’ve written quite a bit about Wazu, now called Vows. I adore them because their sound is what I’d like to call New Goth Wave, something I’ll write more about at a later date. It seems I have a new favorite New Goth Wave band and they’re called Branes. Branes is a Burger Records band based in L.A. Honestly, I haven’t been so excited about a band’s sound in a long time. They describe themselves as “batcave,” which can only mean greatness. Anyway, I’m a bit behind. Their album “Perfection Condition” was released back in 2012. But hey, better late than never.
